Our continued partnership with CDK Stone finds new expression in the unveiling of their Adelaide Selection Centre.
Some spaces speak deeply to their surroundings. CDK Stone’s new Adelaide Selection Centre is shaped by the strength of the local design community and brought to life by talented designers and craftspeople from across Australia. With a clear commitment to supporting local, CDK Stone has created a space for fostering collaboration – and Arthur G is delighted to continue our partnership, with several of our designs featured throughout.
Located in Adelaide’s inner north, the Selection Centre serves as a central destination to explore CDK Stone’s expansive collection, while offering a dedicated space for local specifiers and clients to connect. Arthur G collaborated closely with CDK’s in-house team on a number of designs – Orb Sofa, Owen Chair and By Henry Harvie Stool and Taki Chairs.

By integrating Australian-made elements throughout, the space not only showcases CDK Stone’s materials, but also reinforces a broader narrative of local design excellence - CDK Design Team
With a furniture led approach, CDK’s Adelaide Selection Centre echoes the spaces inside the Alexandria Stone Centre, with Owen Chairs and Orb Sofa‘s occupying the main conversation area . These designs (with their fixed seat construction) are not only a low maintenance option for high use areas but are excellent canvasses for feature upholstery. Here the design team selected a tried and true option for the Owen Chairs – Zinc Roccapina. This weighty, three dimensional ochre stripe has a textural feel in a nature led colour palette that’s an ideal complement to the extensive stone surrounds.

At Arthur G, our commitment of offering creative freedom to all our clients, ensures each project remains true to the client’s vision – and can be achieved by working closely with our experienced sales and manufacturing teams. Keeping production in-house allows for shorter lead times without the compromise of creative vision or execution. These elements were key in being able to meet CDK’s deadline for the Adelaide Selection Centre.
Owen Chairs and Orb Sofa
Two key designs from our By Henry Collection (Taki Chair + Harvie Stool) feature in various conversation zones. The collection is typified by an exposed hardwood frame, which adds a textural contrast to soft upholstery and stone finishes.
“Supporting materials were selected for their tonal harmony and textural depth. Dark oak timber cabinetry, rust-toned seating, and a mix of warm neutrals in upholstery were introduced to enhance the richness of the stone while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic”, CDK Design team
By nature, the By Henry collection strikes a refined balance between commercial and residential design sensibilities, making the inclusion of Taki and Harvie a considered and compelling choice in this environment.
