At Arthur G, we believe sustainable furniture begins with timeless design, local Australian craftsmanship, and premium-quality materials.
As part of our commitment to environmental responsibility, Arthur G proudly holds a GECA Furniture & Fittings (Level B) – FFv3.0-2017 ecolabel, a certification we’ve maintained since 2016. GECA which stands for Good Environmental Choice Australia – is Australia’s only independent, not-for-profit, multi sector sustainability and environmental certification. In order to secure this eco-label, we undergo yearly, independent auditing of our entire manufacturing process to ensure that we continue to meet environmental, human health and social impact criteria.

While our GECA certification is comprehensive, it doesn’t cover the finished upholstery. Here the decision lies with you. Importantly, a significant number of textile and leather suppliers have made innovations to now offer upholsteries which meet a range of environmental criteria. For instance this can include (but is not limited to) Oeko-Tex certified textiles, REACH compliant companies, upholsteries made from recycled plastics or waste from the textile or fashion industry. In addition to this, local textile supplier Instyle also have a range of wool rich textiles created from Australian wool.
All Arthur G clients have the opportunity to select from any number of textiles or leathers which carry a variety of different sustainable or environmental considerations.
